WHAT DOES "KARIBOK" MEAN?
Karibok comes from ribok = noise/disturbance. Adding "ka-" makes it bigger and wilder. It’s that fun, chaotic, high-energy vibe — exactly what this gravel event is all about.

·          Must have drop bar or Kanto bar

·          Recommended tire size: 38c and above

·          Note: Flat bar allowed but not eligible for podium

Please note: This event involves inherent risks and natural challenges.To ensure everyone’s safety, all participants must meet the following requirements and must be prepared.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Physically Fit. Participants must be in good physical condition and ready for endurance riding on road, gravel, and off-road terrain.
2. Minors - 17 years old and below must download, print, and have a Consent and Waiver Form signed by Parent or Guardian. Must be presented upon kit claiming. No form, no kit.
3. Registration fees are non-refundable.
4. Transferring of registration is NOT allowed.
5. No Refund Policy: Registration funds are used to pay for event items and services. Refunds will NOT be provided unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control.

Force Majeure - Event Cancellation - The following are examples, but not limited to, of reasons an event might be cancelled that are NOT within our control: Dangerous weather, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism, local emergencies, government mandates, and any situation creating a threat to the safety of participants, volunteers, staff, or bystanders.

KIT CLAIMING REQUIREMENTS

·          Every participant is required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability form prior to the race.

·          Any valid ID must be presented upon claiming.

·          For 17 years old and below: Parent/Guardian signed Consent + Waiver Form is required.

Finish Cut-off: 1:30 PM | 8 Hours Total
Intermediate Cut-off: 58KM at 4.5 Hours

60KM FUN RIDE
Start: 6:00 AM
Finish Cut-off: 12:00 PM | 6 Hours

Note: Riders who do not reach the intermediate cut-off will be flagged and must go back to the venue at their own expense. This is for rider safety and to keep the event on schedule.

MANDATORY GEARS
For your safety and for race officials to let you start, you MUST bring:

·          Helmet - No helmet, No Start. Must be worn at all times during the ride.

·          Hydration - At least 500ml capacity

·          Trail Food - Enough for your distance

·          Fully Charged Cellphone with Load - For emergency contact and coordination

·          Bike Repair Kit & Tools - Tube, patch kit, pump/CO2, multi-tool, etc.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

·          First Aid Kit - Bandages, antiseptic, pain reliever, personal medsN

·          NAVIGATION DEVICE: KOMOOT / GPS WATCH / GPS Bike Computer (or any)

·          GPX FILE

DURING THE EVENT
·          Mandatory Gear - Carry all required gear throughout the event.

·          Display bib number visibly on handlebars at all times.

·          No bib number changes or substitutions allowed.

·          Trail Food & Hydration - Carry essentials to sustain yourself throughout the course.

·          Cut-off Times - Strictly enforced. No exceptions.

·          DNF Notification - Inform the Race Director or nearest marshal before declaring DNF.

·          DNF / Beyond Cut-off Responsibility - Participants will cover their own transportation expenses if DNF or beyond cut-off.

·          Bike Repairs - Participants are responsible for their own bike maintenance and repairs on course.

·          Helmet - Must be worn at all times while riding.

·          Road Safety - Keep right on public roads. Follow traffic rules and marshal instructions.

ALLOWED ACTIVITIES ALONG THE ROUTE

·          Replenishment - You may buy supplies at any store along the route.

·          Bike Repair - Repairs are allowed at any bike shop along the route.

·          Support Crew - Allowed only near Aid Station(s). No following/pacing on course.

Violation of any rule may result in disqualification.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

·          Start/Finish: SAN JUAN MUNICIPAL GROUND, San Juan, Batangas

·          The route is a mix of open trail and public roads.

·          Observe extra caution when going downhill, crossing roads, and passing technical sections.

·          Always keep right on public roads.

·          Participants are encouraged to practice trail courtesy. Yield to faster riders.

·          GPX file will be provided before race day

·          Course markings: Trail signs and caution markers will be placed

·          Marshals are stationed at all critical sections

·          Checkpoints are placed along the course

·          Aid/Water Stations assigned at certain points

·          No time credits will be given to participants who get lost


COMPLAINT PROCEDURE:
Submit written, signed complaints to the race director within 24 hours of the event.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- RACE DIRECTOR’S AUTHORITY: Rules and route may be modified anytime for safety.
- Race-or-Shine will push through
- Cancellation/Postponement: Notices issued 48 hours prior if necessary due to uncontrollable factors (e.g., severe weather, safety risks)
