REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

1.   Must be physically fit.
2.   17 years old and below must download, print and signed the consent and waiver form by the Parents or Guardian (must be presented upon kit claiming).
3.   Registration is transferable but non-refundable (during registration period only).
4.   We use your registration funds to pay for the necessary items and services needed to host the event. With that in mind, refunds will not be provided for this event unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control. The following are examples (but not limited to) of reasons an event might be canceled that are NOT within our control: Dangerous weather; natural disasters; pandemics; acts of terrorism; local emergencies; government mandates; and any situation creating a threat to safety of participants, volunteers, staff or bystanders.

5.   Fill up the Google form with your payment.
6.   Keep and present the scanned copy when claiming the race kit on the race day.

CALUMBUYAN OFF ROAD DUATHLON RULES AND GUIDELINES

******* TRAIL RUN *******

1. Race bib numbers must be worn on the front of the body.
2. Music devices is not allowed during the race
3. Short-cutting the race course is not permitted and may result in disqualification.


******* BIKE *******

1. Mountain Bike / Gravel Bike are only allowed for the race.
• Recommended tire size for Gravel bike 38c & above.
2. Road bike is not allowed.
3. No aero bars are allowed.
4. Helmets must be worn all times while racing.
• Refusal to wear helmet: Disqualification.
5. Music devices is not allowed during the race
6. Racers shall complete the entire race on the same bike, changing/swapping bikes is not allowed.
7. Drafting is allowed
8. Short-cutting the race course is not permitted and may result in disqualification.
9. Bike race numbers must be mounted on the handlebar. There will be a warning for not having your number on the front of your bike and a two-minute penalty.

 

Transition Etiquette
• Riding in Transition at any time is prohibited.
• Bicycles must be returned to the same location on the bike rack. In their designated bike
rack number, not on the ground.

 

GENERAL RULES

1. It is the racer's responsibility to maintain adequate hydration. Organizer will provide
hydration stations on the bike and run.
2. No outside assistance is allowed from any person not competing in the same event.
3. Penalties will be determined by the severity of the infraction. The
minimum penalty will always be 2 minutes. The maximum penalty will be race disqualification.
4. Protest procedure of racers who wishes to protest against unfair judgment from any marshal or protest against other racers, will have to submit a letter of request to the competition committee within 1 hour after the cut-off times, or after withdrawing from the race, and pay a protest fee of Php 1,000. The fee will only be refunded when the request is a success. The race director’s decision is final and cannot be appealed. Any participants’ misconduct during the protest procedure may lead to expulsion from future races.


• NOTE: ANY VERBAL ABUSE OF MARSHALS, VOLUNTEERS OR RACE OFFICIALS WILL
BE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.


The event takes place RAIN or SHINE! 

 Race kit claiming

1. Every participants is required to sign a WAIVER, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY form prior to the race.
2. Any valid ID must be presented upon claiming.
3. 17 years old and below must present the consent and waiver form signed by Parents or Guardian.

Race kit claiming starts from (TBA)
Race briefing at 0530am.

Course Descriptions

All event will start and finish at Calumbuyan Point in Brgy. Sta. Ana, Calatagan, Batangas.

The route is an open trail and public road. Observe extra caution when going downhill, crossing road and passing technical trail. Always keep right on public roads. Participants are encourage to practice trail courtesy. Yield to fast trail runners/ cyclists.

The course will be marked properly with trails signs, ribbons, and cautions to assist with trail navigation. Marshals are stationed at all critical sections of the course. No time credits will be given to any participants who gets lost.

Aid and water stations are assigned at certain point of the course. Checkpoints are place along the course.

The organizers/ race directors reserve the right to modify the rules and the race route at any time or during the race for the safety and welfare of the participants. The event pushes through, rain or shine unless the race organizers announce its cancellation or postponement at least 48 hours prior to race event for the reasons beyond their control, such as extreme weather and any condition that may render the course unsafe.
